THIS IS WHAT YOUR WORK WILL INVOLVE The Guardianship Board is a municipal authority responsible for supervising guardians, administrators, and statutory representatives. Starting January 1st, the board expands as Flen, Gnesta, Strängnäs, Trosa, and Vingåker municipalities collaborate in a joint Guardianship Board, the Sörmland Guardianship Board, with an office in Flen. The Guardianship Office's mission is to support the Guardianship Board and Guardian in implementing goals and strategies, preparing decision-making materials, and conducting supervision. The supervision shall work to ensure that those who have representatives in the form of a statutory representative, administrator, or guardian do not suffer legal losses. As an employee of the Guardianship Office, you'll work closely with your colleagues. WORK TASKS/ASSIGNMENTS Examples of work tasks in this role: Handling qualified legal matters such as investigation of and decisions on consent for property and condominium sales, estate settlements. Investigation, handling, and decision-making on matters concerning establishment, modification, and termination of guardianship as well as investigation and handling of the need for administrator and guardianship services and correspondence with the court. Representing the Guardian in court. Exercising supervision over representatives through review of accounting documents and investigating complaints against representatives. Recruitment, remuneration, and training of statutory representatives and administrators. Information and contacts with our principals, representatives, healthcare, other authorities, and the public. Preparing official statements to the Guardianship Board for decisions where delegation is lacking. Other administrative tasks and mail handling. FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST: have a degree in law, economics, political science, social work, or other higher education deemed relevant, or alternatively many years of experience in guardianship operations or other authority functions within politically governed operations. be able to express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
