About the Assignment We are now seeking a service desk technician in Umeå with a start date of September 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027. Your Responsibilities This role places great emphasis on being service-oriented and solution-focused. You will work in 1st Line support and provide service and technical support to the organization's employees and operations. Receive and register incoming calls and tickets. Be a team player who is responsive and attentive to unexpected problems. Escalate tickets to other support levels when needed with necessary information. Follow procedures and contribute to developing the service desk's work. Your Qualifications High school education Experience with ticket management systems Experience solving problems over phone and chat. Experience guiding users. Experience with remote desktop support. Experience configuring mobile phones. Experience ensuring that tickets are handled and transferred to the next support level when needed. Meritorious Experience working with IT support. Experience working in Windows environments (Win11, Active Directory, VPN, Office 365). Basic OS and system knowledge. Experience with municipal operations or public sector.
