The Department also oversees air-based intensive care in the north and conducts research, development, and education. Operation 3 in Umeå is now seeking a service attendant. Our department specializes in highly specialized cancer surgery and vascular surgery. Upper gastrointestinal surgery including pancreatic, liver, and esophageal resections. Colorectal surgery, gynecology, urology, and endocrine surgery such as breast and thyroid procedures. Advanced vascular surgery including abdominal aorta and carotid surgery. Several operations from the mentioned specialties are performed using robot-assisted surgical technology. We are also responsible for organ donation and multitrauma care. Would you like a challenging job that truly makes a difference? We are now seeking a service attendant for Operating Room 3 at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a service attendant with us, you provide important service and enable efforts that impact many people. You are an essential part of the operating room department and will be a key person in ensuring daily operations run optimally. You will be instrumental in delivering safe and high-quality care to patients. In your role as service attendant, you will perform care-related service work, such as cleaning operating rooms between procedures and preparing operating rooms, cleaning equipment and tools, restocking daily consumable materials, disposing and transporting laundry and waste, and delivering specimens/samples to the specimen submission area. Additionally, you ensure that the physical work environment is welcoming and that care staff has good practical conditions to carry out their daily work. The workplace is characterized by high competence, flexibility, good teamwork, and forward-thinking attitude. It is an active job that includes heavy lifting. You are an important part of the team on the department. Work is scheduled on weekdays and weekday evenings. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is social, and has a service-oriented mindset. If you are flexible, enjoy working in a team as well as independently, and are reliable and thorough, you possess the right qualities for this job. It is important that you have good interactions with staff, patients, and relatives in a hospital environment. We would like to see that you have an interest in working in a healthcare environment, particularly in surgical operations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and good knowledge of hygiene. Experience from the service industry such as retail, hotel, restaurant, etc. is an advantage.
