Home care services in Fårösund, Lärbro, and Slite operate across three different areas in northern Gotland. You will work throughout the northern Gotland region, so it is important that you are flexible. Together, we collaborate across area boundaries to ensure good care, quality, and continuity for our service users. Each home care team consists of approximately 20 employees, with a mix of ages and varying experience levels. The work involves moving around the area and working in service users' homes, where you meet people in their everyday lives and provide support, care, and security. Your work tasks In the role of service assistant, you provide support and service in everyday life to our service users and contribute to a well-functioning operation. You work together with your team to ensure high quality in both service and social services, where every task is important for service users' security and well-being. Your main work tasks: Plan the day's tasks together with colleagues. Perform service tasks in ordinary housing, such as cleaning and laundry. Food handling and shopping. Pre- and post-work related to meals. Waste management in homes and facilities. Help with deliveries and goods handling in the operation. Maintenance of storage areas and work clothes, including laundry. When time permits, assist with maintenance of vehicles and bicycles. The assignment is adapted based on the operation's needs and the employee's competence. You work according to Region Gotland's mandate and regulations. You carry out services according to decisions, document in the systems, and report deviations. You identify risks in the work environment, follow hygiene procedures, and actively participate in meetings and occupational health and safety work. For this role, we offer a salary range of 23 640 - 27 000 kr/month depending on experience and competence. Who are you? You have completed compulsory school education, good knowledge of Swedish, and computer skills for documentation. A driver's license (category B) is a requirement. Experience in care or service is meritorious, but the most important thing for this role is that you have an interest, an empathetic approach, and social competence. You are flexible and can adapt to different situations and needs. You have good cooperation skills and enjoy working together with others to achieve common goals. You are relationship-oriented and build trust in your interactions with people. You are service-minded and have a respectful approach, while also having good judgment and the ability to make thoughtful decisions in different situations. You work with quality awareness and always strive to perform your work carefully and responsibly. In accordance with the new language requirement, you need to master Swedish well in both speech and writing to ensure safe care and good and correct documentation.
