In Hemse, there are four home care groups working closely together and jointly responsible for home care services across southern Gotland. Each home care group consists of approximately 20 employees, with a mix of ages and varying experience. This is a one-year temporary position with a possible opportunity for extension. We offer you varied work, skills development, wellness contributions, and wellness time. Your Responsibilities As a service assistant, your role includes providing support and service in daily life to our clients and contributing to well-functioning operations. You work together with your team to ensure high quality in both service and social support, where every task is important for client safety and well-being. Your main responsibilities: Perform service tasks in regular housing, such as cleaning and laundry Food handling and shopping Meal preparation and cleanup Waste management in homes and facilities Assist with deliveries and inventory handling in operations Maintenance of storage areas and work clothes, including laundry When time permits, assist supervisors with care of vehicles and bicycles The assignment is adapted based on operational needs and employee competence. You work according to Region Gotland's mandate and regulations. You carry out services according to decisions, document in systems, and report irregularities. You identify risks in the work environment, follow hygiene procedures, and actively participate in meetings and workplace safety work. The salary range for a service assistant is 24,370 - 26,960 kr/month. We apply individual salary setting. Final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence, and responsibility in the role, as well as with consideration to applicable collective agreements. Who Are You? You have completed compulsory education. You have good knowledge of Swedish and computer skills for documentation. A valid driver's license (category B) is required. Experience within care or service is meriting but what is most important in the role is that you have interest, an empathetic approach, and social competence. We seek someone who is self-directed, flexible, and takes responsibility for your tasks. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy creating and developing good relationships, both with colleagues and other contacts. You are empathetic, attentive, and have a service-oriented approach where you always strive to provide professional and respectful treatment.
