Description In autumn 2026, Säffle Municipality is launching an initiative for seniors in schools. As a senior in school, you are offered the opportunity to contribute to our students' schooling and development. You will be offered a training package before starting which includes, among other things, organization, core values, accessible learning environments, some knowledge of the curriculum and treatment of students with special needs The assignment is a volunteer position, which means no salary is paid Duties We want you as a senior to contribute with your own knowledge and interests. This could for example be: Participate in specific lessons and activities Help with reading practice and homework assistance Contribute to a safer and calmer school environment through presence in classrooms and common areas Eat lunch with the children As a senior in school, you will not be alone with the students as there will always be other school staff present Qualifications Age pensioner or having left working life behind you We would like you to have pedagogical experience You should enjoy meeting other people and want to contribute to children and young people's development Conditions You decide for yourself how often you want to be at school, but we think the assignment can vary between two to five hours/week No salary is paid as it is volunteer work You are offered lunch in our canteen in connection with each work session You are covered by the municipality's liability insurance You need to provide a current extract from the criminal record and suspicion register For further information about our activities visit: https://www.saffle.se/ Read more about Säffle Municipality's benefits on our careers page.
