The Swedish Pensions Agency is facing several exciting development initiatives and is now seeking a senior procurement specialist who wants to strengthen our procurement function. With us, you will work on procurement together with great colleagues in an unpretentious and welcoming work environment. This role is a replacement recruitment for one of our procurement specialists who is leaving the agency after 20 years.
Our office is located in historically beautiful premises centrally in Hornstull with proximity to restaurants, shops, subway, outdoor swimming, and green spaces.
About the Role
As a procurement specialist, you are part of the Procurement, Facilities and Archives Unit. The procurement function consists of four procurement specialists who work closely with the agency's operations throughout the procurement process. In the IT department, there are also three IT procurement officers with whom we collaborate closely. They make calls-off from framework agreements but do not conduct procurements.
You lead and conduct procurements and call-offs in close dialogue with requesters and requirement owners. Our procurements vary in scope and complexity, and a large portion of our purchases involve IT-related services, which is why experience with IT procurement is important. The role contains both strategic and operational work where you can use your experience to create business-appropriate and sustainable solutions.
In the role, you will, among other things:
- plan and conduct procurements and call-offs according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
- conduct needs and operational analyses before purchases
- provide qualified support and advice on procurement matters
- work with supplier dialogue, contract monitoring, and contract management
- contribute to the development of the agency's procurement work and methods
Your manager will be Anna Drougge. I am responsible for the Procurement, Facilities and Archives Unit which, in addition to the procurement function, consists of archives and facilities. Despite our different areas of responsibility, we are a cohesive team that works very well together.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in public procurement who feels confident leading procurement processes – from needs and operational analysis to implementation, contracts, and follow-up. You are analytical and solution-oriented. You are used to building good relationships, you communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and have an easy time adapting your message to different audiences.
As a person, you are proactive, structured, and quality-conscious. You work independently but also appreciate collaborating with others. Since you will have many contact points within the agency, it is important that you are responsive, unpretentious, and have a consultative working style.

We are looking for someone who has:
Must-haves:
- an academic degree in, for example, law, economics, political science, or equivalent, or alternatively a vocational college education in procurement or purchasing. Equivalent work experience can be assessed as equivalent.
- at least seven years of experience in public procurement according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
- substantial experience conducting complex procurements
- experience with IT-related procurements
- substantial experience with consultant and service procurements
- very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Meriting:
- experience with procurement tools
