Section/Unit Mission The section is responsible for developing and managing digital services for Arbetsförmedlingen's independent partners. Through user-centered development and close collaboration with the business, we create solutions that simplify administration, support correct processes, and help more people move closer to employment and education. About the Role As a senior test engineer, you'll be a central part of the team's quality work. You'll work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure we build the right things in the right way. You'll participate early in the process by contributing to clear and testable requirements, identifying risks, and helping the team focus on what's most important to quality assure. You'll design test scenarios based on user needs and use exploratory testing where it creates the most value. The role also involves contributing to the team's work on test strategy, testability, and quality assurance. You'll help create conditions for quality throughout the entire development process, not just when a solution is fully developed. How We Work with Quality We see quality as a natural part of development and not as a separate activity at the end of a project. Testing happens continuously and developers are responsible for automated tests close to the code. As a tester, you'll contribute with test design, risk analysis, and a holistic perspective on quality. Automation is used where it creates impact, and manual testing is focused on areas where human judgment, exploratory testing, and business understanding create the most value. Test Automation You don't need to be the one writing all the test code, but we'd like you to have an understanding of test automation and how automated tests can contribute to quick feedback and high quality. You'll collaborate with developers on test strategy, identify scenarios suitable for automation, and help the team find the right balance between automated and manual testing. Experience with test automation is a merit, but the most important thing is that you have a strong focus on quality and a willingness to contribute to the team's shared delivery. Basic Requirements for the Position At least five years of experience in testing and quality assurance within systems development. Experience driving or developing working methods within quality assurance and testing. Experience with test design, risk analysis, and exploratory testing. Experience working in agile development teams and understanding of how agile working methods contribute to quality and continuous improvement. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Additional Merits for the Position Experience with test automation. Experience with API testing. Experience with accessibility and usability testing. Certification in the testing field, such as ISTQB. Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
