Senior Test Engineer

Nyps is Tillväxtverket's custom-built case management system and the central system support for distributing large amounts of EU funding and national support to Sweden's regions and businesses. The system enables the entire workflow – from application and processing to payment and follow-up – and is a critical component in efforts to strengthen regional growth through knowledge, networks, and financing. Nyps is built in Java and integrates with numerous internal and external interfaces, and now we're looking for a test engineer to ensure that the system continues to deliver with high quality and reliability! Key Responsibilities Take an overarching and leading responsibility for testing within a major system area for the agency. You will serve as a key coordinator to optimize testing efforts, drive improvements in test frameworks, and coordinate the cross-functional testing group. At its core, you will have independent responsibility for manual and automated testing of the custom-built Nyps system, integrated with internal and external interfaces. Work will take place in agile cross-functional development teams with architects, software developers, testers, UX designers, product owners, and business specialists. Relevant Technologies: Playwright, RestAssured, TypeScript, Swagger UI, SQL, JavaScript, Groovy/Python/Bash Work Location: One of the following cities: Östersund, Göteborg, Stockholm, Malmö We're Looking for You If You Have: A degree from a university, higher education institution, or vocational training in IT testing or software development Several years of relevant work experience in exploratory testing, test automation, and technical testing in complex environments – at a senior level Experience with RestAssured and TypeScript Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Swagger UI, or similar Comfortable working in agile teams Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written (all interviews will be conducted in Swedish) Merits Experience driving test strategies and test processes at team or organizational level Experience with Kubernetes or other container technologies Experience with application lifecycle management Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring other testers Experience with test automation at various levels: integration tests, GUI/E2E tests, and unit tests Personal Qualities Structured and self-initiating Goal- and results-oriented Natural leadership – can lead without formal authority Good collaboration skills and ability to bring others along Confident in your technical competence but curious and eager to learn We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
