Senior Tester

Nyps is Tillväxtverket's proprietary case management system and the central system support for distributing large sums of EU financing and national support to Sweden's regions and businesses. The system enables the entire flow – from applications and processing to payments and follow-up – and is a critical part of the work to strengthen regional growth through knowledge, networks, and financing. Nyps is built in Java and integrates with multiple internal and external interfaces, and we're now looking for a tester to ensure the system continues to deliver with high quality and reliability! Main Responsibilities Take overall and leading responsibility for testing within a larger system area for the agency. You serve as a central figure in optimizing testing work, driving improvements to the testing framework, and coordinating the cross-functional testing group. Primarily, you have independent responsibility for manual and automated testing of the proprietary system Nyps, integrated with internal and external interfaces. Work takes place in agile cross-functional development teams with architects, system developers, testers, UX designers, product owners, and business specialists. Relevant technologies: Playwright, RestAssured, TypeScript, Swagger UI, SQL, JavaScript, Groovy/Python/Bash Work location can be one of the following cities: Östersund, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Malmö We're looking for someone with: Degree from a university, college, or vocational education in IT testing or systems development Several years of relevant professional experience in exploratory testing, test automation, and technical testing in complex environments – at senior level Experience with RestAssured and TypeScript Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Swagger UI, or similar Comfort working in agile teams Fluent Swedish in speech and writing (all interviews will be conducted in Swedish) Meritorious Experience driving testing strategies and processes at team or organizational level Experience with Kubernetes or other container technologies Experience with application lifecycle management Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring other testers Experience with test automation at different levels: integration tests, GUI/E2E tests, and unit tests Personal Qualities Structured and takes initiative Goal and results-oriented Natural leadership ability – can lead without formal mandate Good collaboration skills and ability to bring others along Confident in your technical competence but curious and learning-oriented We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
