Abilia develops medical technology products that help people with disabilities gain structure, communicate, and become more independent. Abilia is growing, both in Sweden and internationally, and is now seeking a Test Lead who wants to take overall responsibility for our testing area.
The Role
As Senior Test Engineer/Test Lead, you combine hands-on testing work with functional leadership. You'll work approximately 50% as a tester in a team and 50% developing our test processes, methods, and practices. You lead without personnel responsibility and serve as a support and coach for our Test Engineers.
You will lead work on:
developing Abilia's test strategy and working methods
driving test automation and taking the area to the next level
evaluating and implementing AI support in testing
ensuring quality and structure in a regulated medtech environment
We are looking for someone who:
has several years of experience in software, system, or hardware testing
can plan, design, and conduct testing in a structured manner
has strong experience with test automation and its tools
has experience with requirements, test cases, traceability, and quality work
has practical experience with AI-related tools or techniques
thrives in a role where you lead through expertise, structure, and collaboration
has academic education in an area relevant to the position
Meritorious experience includes medtech, quality management systems, MDR/ISO standards, or testing of integrated products.
As a person, you are analytical, curious, structured, and solution-oriented. You enjoy improving, coaching, and creating order. You are confident in your expertise and bring others along through clarity and engagement.
