Alarms | Access Control | CCTV Surveillance | Qualified Troubleshooting At FMTIS, you'll apply your technical expertise and develop further within alarms, access control, and CCTV surveillance. You work in technically demanding environments where your work has direct significance for the Swedish Armed Forces' security and operational capability. We're looking for an experienced and skilled technician with a solid foundation in areas such as electronics, installation, service, troubleshooting, or maintenance. You work independently and methodically, understand how technical systems interconnect, and can identify root causes, select appropriate solutions, and verify that the solution works. Experience with technical surveillance systems is valuable but not required. What matters most is your technical understanding, practical skills, and ability to quickly learn new systems and technical environments. About the Role As a technician, you work with installation, commissioning, service, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of technical surveillance systems. The role includes alarms, access control, CCTV surveillance, electronics, and low-voltage systems. You analyze technical problems, assess appropriate measures, and ensure that work is checked, documented, and handed over with the right quality. You also provide technical support and share experience within the work group and contribute to developing working methods and technical solutions. The work is practical and varied. You alternate between scheduled tasks and urgent troubleshooting, where you need to work systematically even when situations require quick action. Work is primarily conducted in the Mälarden and Dalarna regions, based in Enköping. Travel is a natural part of the position, and on-call duty is included on a rotating schedule. Main Responsibilities You will, among other things: Independently troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical faults Perform installation, configuration, commissioning, and functional testing Carry out service and urgent, corrective, and preventive maintenance Assess risks and needs for further technical measures Document completed work and quality-assure solutions Collaborate with other technical functions and provide technical support Qualifications We're looking for someone with: Technical education at upper secondary level or higher in areas such as electrical, energy, telecommunications, electronics, or safety technology, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer considers equivalent Several years of experience in qualified technical work in areas such as electronics, installation, service, troubleshooting, maintenance, or technical surveillance systems Experience in independent technical troubleshooting Experience in installation, commissioning, service, or maintenance of technical systems Knowledge in electrical, electronics, or low-voltage systems Ability to read and use technical documentation and document completed work Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing B-category driver's license You don't need prior experience with technical surveillance systems. What's important is that you have a solid technical foundation and can apply your experience to new solutions and technical environments. Personal Qualities You are responsible, thorough, and solution-oriented. You work methodically and can independently drive a technical task from troubleshooting and analysis through solution, verification, and documentation. You have good judgment and understand the importance of security, quality, and traceability. You can prioritize when urgent faults occur, work well with others, and communicate technical matters clearly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Meritorious It's a plus if you have experience with alarms, access control, CCTV surveillance, or other integrated security systems. Knowledge of networks, IP communication, or IT infrastructure is also valuable. We view positively experience with security technical systems in larger or geographically distributed environments, maintenance planning, lifecycle management, or work in security-critical and socially important operations. Product certifications in safety technology, experience in mentoring other technicians.
