We are seeking an experienced systems engineer or software engineer for a long-term consulting assignment in a technically advanced and security-classified operation. The role suits you if you move confidently between requirements, testing, technical documentation and systems-level software – and if you can contribute with both structure and technical judgment as well as practical progress.
About the Assignment
In the role you will work with systems engineering combined with software-related tasks. You will among other things handle requirements specification, testing and review of system documentation and technical materials. Your understanding of software and systems-level development will also be important in collaboration with other parts of the team.
The assignment suits you if you have built up broad technical expertise and are accustomed to taking responsibility in complex system environments. You are expected to be able to drive parts of the work independently, make well-founded technical trade-offs and collaborate closely with other experts.
Examples of Work Tasks
Work with requirements specification, requirements analysis and requirements traceability
Plan, conduct and support technical tests and verifications
Review system documentation and other technical materials
Contribute with system understanding in matters concerning software, functionality and overall architecture
Participate in technical reviews and trade-offs at system level
Support the team with technical assessments and pragmatic solution proposals
Identify technical risks and help drive the work forward
We Are Looking for You If
You have several years of experience as a systems engineer and/or software engineer, preferably from work with technically complex systems. You have a broad technical profile and feel confident in matters concerning system requirements, verification, documentation and software-related development.
You do not need to be a specialist in all areas. However, you have sufficient experience and technical depth to quickly understand relationships, identify risks and contribute with relevant solutions.
As a person you are responsible, structured and solution-oriented. You are comfortable working independently, but at the same time see collaboration and knowledge sharing as a natural part of the work.
Mandatory Requirements
Several years of experience as a systems engineer and/or software engineer
Experience with systems work, such as requirements specification, testing or review of system documentation
Experience with software development or other software-related work
Ability to work independently and take responsibility in technical matters
Good collaboration skills and experience from cross-functional teams
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, MATLAB, Ada or Python
Experience with embedded systems
Experience with systems security
Experience from technically complex, regulated or safety-critical environments
Experience contributing to technical reviews, verification and trade-offs at system level
