Lantmäteriet is governed by, among other things, the government's annual appropriations letter and is a board-governed agency. The Director General is Lantmäteriet's agency head. 2 position(s). DUTIES We are now strengthening the staff around the Director General and are therefore seeking a senior staff officer. Today there are two employees on the staff, and it will soon be expanded with a number of competencies within cross-agency investigation, strategic environmental analysis, senior case handling, and qualified administrative support. We are also recruiting in parallel for a head of the Director General's Office. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape work methods and processes and create results in close collaboration with others. One goal of the Director General's Office is unified and coordinated support. Would you like to work as a direct strategic support and key person to our Director General and have close contact with the Government Offices? The Director General's Office provides strategic and administrative management support to the Director General and coordinates certain cross-agency matters. This means the staff has tasks such as coordinating, initiating, and driving matters in relation to the Government Offices, assisting the General Counsel with legislative development, coordinating the Director General's cases and preparation of such cases for decisions, quality assuring and monitoring certain of the agency's planning, management, and support documents, and providing administrative support to the board, Director General, and management group. It also entails responsibility for planning and coordinating both the work of Lantmäteriet's management group and board work. As a senior staff officer at Lantmäteriet, you are responsible for developing, coordinating, and preparing materials. You compile and quality assure strategic decision-making documents for the Director General. You assist in communication with the Government Offices, which means you and colleagues handle and coordinate the agency's correspondence, referrals, and reports to the Government Offices. You lead, direct, and work with investigations and follow-ups on assignments from the Director General and the staff head. The role is varied and requires good understanding of public administration. You also provide strategic and operational support in various tasks as needed over time. You will support and direct operations in a changing time that presents new demands. The role requires good collaboration both internally and externally. Placement is at Lantmäteriet's offices in Gävle, Uppsala, or Stockholm. The majority of staff members are based in Gävle, which is why regular presence in Gävle is required. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree for the position or equivalent work experience, and at least three years of qualified and current professional experience in a senior case officer role handling cross-agency management issues and providing support to top management in a large organization/agency or preferably within the Government Offices as an agency officer. Experience working in management and governance of a state agency or within the Government Offices is a requirement. You have professional experience investigating, analyzing, and handling complex information with both detailed focus and holistic perspective. You have solid experience writing reports, decision-making materials, and statements. You have several years of experience working with strategic development issues and long-term change management in complex operations. You have experience managing media attention, collaborating and engaging both within and outside your own organization, and working in complex organizations with cross-functional teams. You have excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. There are also special requirements for judgment, security mindset, and compliance with applicable laws. The position is security-classified, which means you must be a Swedish citizen and a security clearance involving background check and security clearance interview will be conducted before employment.
