About the Role We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with leadership qualities who wants to own backend, architecture, and infrastructure in a small, high-performing team. This is a hands-on developer role where you get significant ownership and freedom to shape both the product and tech stack. You'll work closely with a data scientist and a frontend developer, and take the lead on platform and backend development. You don't need to understand machine learning – but you should be able to build robust systems that expose AI model results to users and customers. What You'll Do Design and develop backend services and APIs (Python/FastAPI) Own Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and ensure scalable deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) Build bridges between AI/CV models and customer interfaces Drive architecture decisions and technical choices Mentor and support the team – set the standard for code quality Contribute to building a scalable platform for international expansion Who We're Looking For Must-haves: Experience with heavy backend frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, C#/.NET, FastAPI, Symfony, or similar) Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code PostgreSQL / strong SQL experience Microservices architecture Git and CI/CD Swedish and English fluency in speaking and writing Personality: Self-driven, takes ownership, supports others, thrives with freedom under responsibility Merits: Azure PostGIS / GIS databases Event-driven architecture (AMQP, MQTT) React / frontend understanding AI, machine learning, or computer vision (curiosity is enough) Experience from startups/small companies What We Offer Technology that improves infrastructure globally – not sustainability talk, but concrete impact Great freedom to shape product and tech stack, drive architecture decisions Small team, big impact, short decision-making paths, zero bureaucracy, high technical level International company with customers in the Nordic region, Europe, and collaborations worldwide Competitive salary and opportunity for equity/options after probation Office-first in central Stockholm (Monday–Thursday in office, Friday flexible) Practical Information Location: Stockholm (central office) Employment type: Permanent position Start: As soon as possible Salary: Market rate, adjusted based on experience Languages: Swedish and English (required) Recruitment Process Initial conversation with Lynqa Interview with the team – technical and cultural fit In-depth technical interview Reference checks Offer About the Position Scope: Full-time, permanent position Start: By agreement Location: Stockholm This is a direct recruitment.
