Do you want to work on the architecture behind the next generation infotainment system and help shape how the software platform in tomorrow's vehicles is built? DXC/Luxoft is now seeking, together with Oddwork, a Senior Software Architect with deep expertise in Android Automotive and embedded systems for its growing team in Sweden. About DXC/Luxoft DXC Luxoft is a global software and technology company that delivers solutions in automotive, finance, and digital transformation, among others. Within Automotive, they collaborate with some of the world's leading automakers and suppliers and are particularly known for their expertise in advanced software development. Operations in Sweden continue to grow, and here you have the opportunity to become part of an international organization developing next-generation systems for an automotive industry centered around connected, autonomous, and electrified vehicles. About the Role As Senior Software Architect, you will play a central role in developing advanced infotainment platforms in automotive. Your primary focus is on system design and software architecture, where you make technical design decisions, define architecture for various software domains, and ensure solutions are scalable, stable, and sustainable over time. You work deeply with Android Automotive OS and its system architecture, covering areas such as Framework, SystemServer, native services, AIDL/HIDL, HAL, and SELinux. The platform consists of many interconnected services and systems, which means you need to understand both individual components and how the overall architecture works together. An important part of the role is also coordinating major Android upgrades and architectural changes. You will work with upgrades from Android 13 toward future versions, while coordinating technical dependencies and decisions across eight different feature teams. You also work with communication between the vehicle's different systems through protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and SOME/IP, as well as native Android development in C/C++, JNI, and NDK. The role also includes monitoring and improving KPIs related to performance and stability, as well as planning how the platform and technology should evolve going forward. We Are Looking for You Who Have solid experience with system development and architecture in automotive and infotainment. Have deep knowledge of Android Automotive OS and embedded systems. Have a very good understanding of Android's system architecture, including Framework, SystemServer, native services, HAL, and SELinux. Have experience with AIDL and HIDL for interface definition and communication between system components. Have worked with complex distributed systems with many interconnected services. Have knowledge of architectural patterns such as Service Bus, IPC, Event-Driven, Pub/Sub, and microkernel. Have deep knowledge of communication protocols in automotive, such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and SOME/IP. Have good skills in C/C++ and native Android development, including JNI and NDK. Have knowledge of Linux kernel, device drivers, and basic embedded system architecture. Have experience with debugging and optimization in complex embedded environments. Have the ability to integrate complex software components and see how different parts affect the overall system architecture. Enjoy collaborating with multiple technical teams and different specialized competencies. It's a Plus If You Have worked on major OS or platform upgrades and architectural changes. Experience with ASPICE L3, TISAX, ISO 21434 Cybersecurity Engineering, or Functional Safety (FUSA) is also valuable. It's also a plus if you have worked with multi-market or variant builds and CI/CD automation, performance profiling, power optimization, or timing analysis, and are comfortable in agile environments with multiple cross-functional teams. Why DXC/Luxoft? At DXC/Luxoft, you have the opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with innovation and the future of mobility. You work in an international and technology-driven environment together with experienced colleagues and specialists in software development, UX, and automotive. Here you work with complex technical challenges and solutions that are close to the actual product—from system architecture and underlying platform to features used in next-generation vehicles. In this role, you also have the opportunity to influence technical decisions at a broader level and work on how an advanced Android Automotive platform should evolve across multiple generations. At the same time, you become part of a global organization where knowledge exchange and collaboration between different competencies, teams, and markets are a natural part of everyday work. For you driven by technology, this means an environment where you can continue to deepen your specialized expertise, contribute your own ideas, and help shape the technology behind tomorrow's vehicles.
