Maskin Väst is now seeking an experienced Service Technician/Workshop Technician for our operations in Trollhättan. Our operations include, among other things, construction, agricultural, and forest machinery. Huddig is an important part of our operations and an area where Maskin Väst has extensive expertise and wants to continue developing. About the Role As a Service Technician/Workshop Technician, you'll primarily work at Maskin Väst's workshop in Trollhättan with service, troubleshooting, and repair of construction machinery. This is a broad mechanic role where the work can vary greatly from day to day. You need to be able to tackle a technical problem, troubleshoot to find the root cause, and find a working solution. The work encompasses mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and since the workshop also works with custom solutions, you may sometimes need to think outside standard solutions and, for example, adapt or build your own brackets and component solutions. You will, among other things: perform service, maintenance, and repairs of construction machinery troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems diagnose faults and independently find appropriate solutions work with repairs, reconstructions, and custom modifications perform preventive maintenance document completed work have some customer contact in connection with work on their machinery work closely with colleagues in the workshop, parts, and sales departments. The position is primarily workshop-based. If you also enjoy working in the field at customer sites, there is potential in the future for a more combined role with both workshop work and field service. Who Are We Looking For? We're primarily looking for you who have worked a few years as a mechanic or service technician and who today feel confident in independently troubleshooting and repairing machinery. The most relevant background is experience with construction machinery, but we're also open to you who, for example, have worked with agricultural machinery, trucks, buses, or other heavy vehicles and thereby built up broad technical expertise. We're Looking For several years of experience as a mechanic or service technician, preferably around five years or more experience with construction machinery or other heavy machinery/vehicles good mechanical understanding knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic troubleshooting knowledge of electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics B-class driver's license good knowledge of Swedish. If you have worked with Huddig, that's highly meritorious. A C-class driver's license as well as forklift, tractor, or wheel loader certification are also advantageous.
