About the role
As a Service Technician/Workshop Technician you will primarily work in the workshop in Trollhättan with service, troubleshooting, and repair of construction equipment.
This is a broad mechanic role where the work can vary greatly from day to day. You need to be able to tackle a technical problem, troubleshoot to find the cause, and find a working solution. The work includes both mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and since the workshop also works with custom solutions, you may sometimes need to think outside standard solutions and, for example, adapt or build your own brackets and component solutions.
You will, among other things:
perform service, maintenance, and repairs of construction equipment
troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
diagnose faults and independently find appropriate solutions
work with repairs, modifications, and custom adaptations
perform preventive maintenance
document completed work
have some contact with customers in connection with work on their equipment
work closely with colleagues in the workshop, parts, and sales.
The position is primarily workshop-based. For those who also enjoy working on-site with customers, there is potential for a more combined role with both workshop work and field service.
Who are we looking for?
Above all, we are looking for someone who has worked a few years as a mechanic or service technician and who today feels confident independently troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
The most relevant background is experience with construction equipment, but we are also open to those who, for example, have worked with agricultural machinery, trucks, buses, or other heavy vehicles and thereby built up broad technical expertise.
We see that you have
several years of experience as a mechanic or service technician, preferably around five years or more
experience with construction equipment or other heavy machinery/vehicles
good mechanical understanding
knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic troubleshooting
knowledge of electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting
ability to read and understand technical documentation and diagrams
B driving license
good knowledge of Swedish.
If you have worked with Huddig, that is highly advantageous. C driving license as well as forklift, tractor, or wheel loader certification are also advantageous.
