EcoDataCenter is building one of Sweden's new mega data centers in Borlänge and the organization to operate it. Do you want to take ownership of security in one of Sweden's most critical technical environments? We are now looking for a senior security technician who wants to take on greater responsibility than the traditional technician role and become a key person in developing the security function at our campus in Borlänge. This is a role for someone with solid experience in technical security systems who wants to combine operational responsibility with a more strategic perspective. You will not only ensure that systems work today, but also help shape how security work should develop as operations grow. About the role As Senior Security Technician, you will be one of the leading resources in the development of physical security at our Borlänge campus. Together with the team, you are responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of security systems including access control systems, CCTV, perimeter protection, burglar alarms, fire alarms and suppression systems in an operation where security and availability are business-critical. The role combines technical responsibility with a broader security perspective. You will work with risk management, incident follow-up, improvement initiatives and development of routines and processes. At the same time, you serve as an important contact person for contractors, security providers, customers and internal functions on security-related matters. You also play a central role in fire protection work, including systematic fire protection work (SBA), monitoring of fire and suppression systems, and coordination with authorities and external parties on preparedness and risk management. Operations in Borlänge continue to grow, which means you have the opportunity to influence how the security function develops going forward. We are therefore looking for someone who wants to combine operational responsibility with a more long-term security perspective, take a natural expert role in the field and help develop security systems, working methods and processes in line with operational needs. Your main responsibilities Manage the operation, maintenance and further development of technical security systems Serve as a technical specialist in access control, CCTV, burglar alarms, perimeter protection and fire systems Drive and develop systematic security and fire protection work Identify risks and conduct risk analyses and security assessments Follow up on incidents, deviations and security-related events and drive corrective actions Take a leading role in the installation, upgrading and commissioning of new security systems Coordinate and follow up on contractors, installers and security providers Contribute to audits, customer reviews and security-related customer discussions Develop processes, routines and working methods for a growing data center operation Provide support and serve as a knowledge resource for colleagues in the security field Who are you? You have several years of experience from the security industry and a broad understanding of technical security systems, risk management and the processes required to create a robust security function. You take responsibility, make well-considered decisions and drive matters from identified needs to implemented solutions. At the same time, you thrive in an environment where not everything is pre-defined and where you have the opportunity to influence working methods, processes and development. To succeed in the role, you combine technical competence with structure and long-term thinking. You understand that strong security is built on the interaction between technology, processes and people. You communicate clearly, build trust and are experienced in collaborating with colleagues, customers, contractors and suppliers. We are looking primarily for a senior profile, but potential and the right attitude are at least as important as years in the industry. If the role feels right for you, even if you don't meet every qualification, we would love to see you submit an application. Qualifications Post-secondary education in security, technology or equivalent field, or equivalent documented experience Several years of experience working with technical security systems Documented experience with access control, CCTV, access control systems, burglar alarms, perimeter protection or similar security solutions Experience with troubleshooting, operation and management of critical technical systems Experience independently driving security-related improvement initiatives or projects Good experience with documentation, follow-up and structured security work Excellent command of Swedish and English Merits Experience in a leading or coordinating role within security Experience with security work in data centers, industry, energy, defense or other critical infrastructure Experience with systematic fire protection work (SBA) Experience with fire alarms, suppression systems and authority-related security work Certifications or training in security, fire protection or risk management Experience working in operations with high demands for compliance, availability and physical security Additional information You will report to the Campus Director.
