Sweden's security landscape is changing, and the demands on government agencies' internal security are increasing. We are now looking for a senior security officer who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening the County Administrative Board's overall security work.
The position is located in the Internal Security Unit within the Operations Support Department. Your workplace will be at our office in Malmö. Travel for work may occur. The employment is permanent with a 6-month probationary period. Start date to be arranged as soon as possible.
The Internal Security Unit is responsible for the agency's internal security and works in areas such as security protection, physical security, information security, personnel security, fire protection, internal crisis management, and civil defense. We offer a developing role where you have the opportunity to work both strategically and operatively in a work of societal importance.
Responsibilities
As a senior security officer, you have a central role in developing, coordinating, and implementing the agency's internal security work. The role involves broad responsibility where you combine strategic development with operational support to operations.
Your responsibilities include:
coordinating and further developing the agency's internal security and security protection work,
conducting security protection analyses and risk and vulnerability assessments, developing, creating, and maintaining governing documents, procedures, and processes,
providing qualified support and advice to operations on matters concerning internal security work and security protection.
planning and conducting internal training, information initiatives, and supporting activities.
administering and managing security systems and contributing to the development of security technical solutions.
driving development in physical security, information security, personnel security, and other aspects of internal security, participating in the agency's work on crisis preparedness and civil defense,
participating in both development work and operational security matters that arise within the unit's areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:
an academic degree in security, law, social sciences, crisis management, or another field that the employer considers relevant. Alternatively, you have other post-secondary education combined with several years of relevant experience in qualified security work
at least five years of experience independently working with security protection and internal security work in an organization with complex operations.
experience applying the Security Protection Act, Security Protection Regulation, and relevant regulations in practical security work. Experience independently conducting, revising, or leading security protection analysis work.
experience independently developing, anchoring, and implementing governing documents, procedures, or processes within the security field.
experience providing qualified and operations-adapted support on security matters to managers, employees, or other functions in the organization.
experience planning and conducting training or information initiatives within the security field for target groups without their own specialist expertise.
ability to express yourself clearly and correctly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Swedish citizenship.
It is an advantage if you have:
experience with security work in public administration or other activities covered by security protection legislation.
led development work or projects within the security field and been responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, and follow-up.
practical experience with information security work, for example risk assessments, information classification, or development of security requirements.
experience analyzing the need for and developing requirements for physical security measures.
experience with requirements specification, administration, or management of security technical systems, such as access control systems, burglar alarms, or other technical security solutions.
experience with crisis preparedness, continuity management, or civil defense.
Category B driving license.
To succeed in the role, you are structured, analytical, and self-driven. You have high integrity, professional security conduct, and a good ability to drive matters forward while maintaining a holistic perspective.
You are confident in your expertise, unpretentious in collaboration with others, and find it easy to switch between strategic, administrative, and practical tasks. The role requires high levels of collaboration skills, service awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly with different parts of the organization.

Security Clearance
The County Administrative Board has an important coordinating role during societal disruptions, and therefore we place high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. Some of our positions are security classified and may also involve war-time placement at the agency, which means that security vetting must be conducted before an employment decision is made. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
