Senior Accounting Economist with Systems Interest

SJR is now seeking an experienced accounting economist with a strong interest in systems and processes for the role of Subject Matter Expert at a well-known international organization with offices in Södertälje. This is a long-term full-time consulting assignment with a planned start in early September running through June 30, 2027. For the right candidate, there are good opportunities for extension after the assignment ends. For this assignment, we are looking for someone who wants to work as a consultant through SJR with monthly salary and pension benefits and other terms according to collective agreement. About the Position This role is perfect for you if you have solid experience in accounting and enjoy working in a position where you can combine specialist knowledge with process development and change management. You will be part of a team of experts focused on developing, quality assuring, and documenting accounting processes. The role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders within the organization and requires both business acumen and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and efficient working methods. Responsibilities - Participate in the development, implementation, and improvement of accounting processes. - Document processes, procedures, and work instructions. - Ensure quality and compliance within the accounting field. - Contribute specialist knowledge in accounting-related matters and process design. - Identify opportunities for improvement and drive efficiency initiatives. - Collaborate with process owners, business representatives, and other subject matter experts. - Participate in and lead projects related to accounting, process development, and system changes. - Serve as support and advisor within your area of responsibility. - Contribute to knowledge transfer, training, and implementation of new working methods. Suitable Background We are looking for a senior accounting professional with several years of experience in qualified accounting work. You have a very good understanding of accounting processes and have likely worked in larger or international organizations where structure, governance, and process development have been a natural part of daily operations. You are accustomed to working cross-functionally and have experience participating in or leading change and improvement projects. Experience with process mapping, documentation, and implementation of new working methods is highly desirable. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
