Are you curious and driven to find defects and shortcomings through technical testing methods? As a testing engineer, you inspect objects and pressurized equipment at customer sites using methods such as X-ray and ultrasound. By inspecting things we cannot see with the naked eye, you can contribute to a safer society! About the role: As a testing engineer, you either work on-site at the customer performing the job or you take a sample to analyze the material in one of Kiwa's laboratories. You work with recurring inspections or preventive maintenance to measure the status and health of objects and their critical components and equipment. The work includes performing, for example, visual inspections, ultrasound testing, X-ray testing, and leak testing. By using these different testing methods, we can test and inspect objects for things we cannot see with the naked eye and help the customer identify damage at an early stage to prevent potential costly failures. During a work week, you will come into contact with several different objects such as pressure vessels, cisterns, pipelines, and turbines. For this role, we see that you already hold certifications as a testing engineer. The position is based in Karlstad where daily travel and travel with overnight stays occur. Do you have what it takes? Are you a technically minded problem solver who is also communicative and responsible? You have: Technical secondary education or higher engineering degree or equivalent An interest in technology and people B-class driver's license Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written For this role, we would prefer that you already have certifications in testing, or alternatively experience with one of the testing methods.
