We are seeking a Senior Project Controller for an exciting project with a municipality.
Assignment Description
The municipality is looking for a senior project controller to support the main project manager in a major urban development and infrastructure project. The project controller should provide support to the main project manager in matters relating to the project's financial management, forecasts, monitoring and reporting. The role should contribute to ensuring that the project's financial performance can be monitored, analyzed and communicated in a structured manner throughout the different phases of the project.
The project controller serves as a link between the project organization, the contractor's financial monitoring, the municipality's finance function and other support functions within the project. The purpose of the role is to ensure that project management, steering committee and client organization have access to relevant and quality-assured materials for monitoring, forecasts and decision-making.
Responsibilities
Support the main project manager in the project's financial management and monitoring.
Coordinate and quality-assure the project's financial forecasts.
Analyze and monitor financial deviations.
Compile and quality-assure financial materials for project management and steering committee.
Monitor the project's cost development and identify financial risks and uncertainties.
Support project management in the preparation of investment, budget and forecast materials.
Ensure that the project's financial reporting is in accordance with the municipality's financial management principles.
Serve as a contact point between the project organization and the municipality's finance function regarding project economics and financial monitoring.
Support work with financial monitoring of contractor and consultant costs.
Contribute to the development of procedures, working methods and reporting structures for the project's financial management.
Mandatory Requirements
Have at least ten (10) years of documented experience with project financial monitoring, project management or general project controlling in urban development, infrastructure or construction projects.
Have documented experience with financial monitoring and forecasting work in investment projects.
Have documented experience with analysis and monitoring of financial deviations and preparation of financial forecasts.
Have documented experience in preparing financial materials for project management, steering committee or equivalent decision-making bodies.
Have documented experience working in public sector operations or on assignments for public clients.
Have experience from at least three (3) completed urban development, infrastructure or construction projects.
Have relevant higher education in economics, industrial economics, civil engineering or other education that the client deems equivalent.
Be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
