Why This Job Is For You We are now seeking experienced mechanical design engineers with solid expertise in Creo. You will have the opportunity to develop robust and technically advanced products where quality, function, safety, and manufacturability are the focus. You will be involved in developing everything from load-bearing structures and frameworks to the integration of complex mechanical systems for applications that demand high performance, manufacturability, and durability. You will work within our Hardware & Design business area where we combine broad engineering expertise with deep specialist knowledge and a user-centered approach to develop physical products and digital experiences from concept through large-scale production. Responsibilities As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in steel and sheet metal structures, you have the ability to work independently, drive, and take full responsibility for your area of responsibility, while enjoying collaboration and contribution in cross-functional teams. Projects can encompass the entire development process, from concept development and design to finished product, as well as maintenance, further development, and updates of existing systems. Tasks may include designing mechanical structures, lightweight design, mechanical interfaces, and integration of advanced subsystems and equipment. Depending on the assignment, work may also cover frameworks, suspension, wheel suspension, and steering systems. Design and development of load-bearing structures, frameworks, and advanced mechanical systems in Creo. Development of sheet metal, steel, aluminum, and welded structures. Design of fixtures, fasteners, mechanical interfaces, and integrated solutions Qualifications You enjoy working with the team to break down these challenges and reach the best solution. You are someone who enjoys sharing your knowledge while independently driving your own work forward. In addition to your personal qualities, you need to have the following: University or graduate degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent At least 5 years of work experience in mechanical design using Creo. Experience with robust design in defense, heavy vehicles, special vehicles, aerospace, or equivalent industries. Solid knowledge of sheet metal, aluminum, steel, casting, and welding design. Solid knowledge of manufacturing methods such as welding, bending, casting, and machining. Solid knowledge of DFM/DFA, detailed design, tolerance setting, and drawing documentation. Experience working in PDM/PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent. Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams. Very good communication skills in Swedish and English. Meriting Experience with composite materials. Experience with FEM calculations and simulation. Experience with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) and FMEA. Experience with requirements management and working with technical specifications. Collaboration with production, testing, procurement, and other disciplines. Rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
