Do you want to work broadly as a Senior Auto Mechanic, solve advanced technical and mechanical problems, and take significant responsibility in a fast-paced workshop? Bilsmidigt is now hiring a self-driven Senior Auto Mechanic with several years of experience for our facility in Upplands Väsby. With us, you'll work on a wide range of different car brands and models, taking on everything from service and mechanical repairs to advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and major engine work. We're looking for someone with solid experience as an auto mechanic, broad technical and mechanical expertise, and the ability to independently diagnose and solve even complex problems. About the Role As a Senior Auto Mechanic, you'll have a central role in our workshop and work on diagnostics, service, maintenance, and repair of our cars. Because we work with used cars, you'll encounter many different car brands, models, and types of faults. You're expected to handle more advanced technical and mechanical issues, identify the root cause of the problem, and independently drive the work from diagnosis to completed repair. You'll also be an important resource in the workshop, contributing your experience when more complicated problems need to be solved. Work Tasks You'll work on, among other things: Service and maintenance Diagnostics and troubleshooting Electrical fault diagnosis and repair Documentation of work performed Timing belt replacements and major engine work Brake, chassis, and suspension repair Repair of broken cables and electrical components Independently manage complex repair cases Contribute technical and mechanical expertise within the workshop What We're Looking For You thrive in a fast-paced environment You have a B-class driver's license for manual transmission You are organized and solution-oriented You have solid experience as an auto mechanic You have strong competence in electrical troubleshooting You can independently diagnose and solve complex car faults You have broad technical and mechanical expertise in passenger vehicles You have extensive knowledge in troubleshooting and repair You can take responsibility for the entire process from diagnosis to completed repair Above all, we're looking for an experienced problem-solver who works methodically and doesn't give up when a fault requires deeper investigation. You identify the root cause, find the right solution, and make sure the car leaves the workshop properly repaired.
