Would you like to work broadly as a Senior Auto Mechanic, solve advanced technical and mechanical problems, and take on significant responsibility in a high-paced workshop? Bilsmidigt is now seeking a self-driven Senior Auto Mechanic with several years of experience for our facility in Upplands Väsby. With us, you will work with a wide variety of car brands and models and take on everything from service and mechanical repairs to advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and major engine work. We are looking for someone with solid experience as an auto mechanic, broad technical and mechanical expertise, and the ability to independently diagnose and solve even complex problems. About the Role As a Senior Auto Mechanic, you will have a central role in our workshop and work with troubleshooting, service, maintenance, and repair of our vehicles. Since we work with used cars, you will encounter many different car brands, models, and types of issues. You are expected to take on more advanced technical and mechanical tasks, identify the root cause of the problem, and independently manage the work from diagnosis to completed repair. You will also be an important resource in the workshop and contribute your expertise when more complex problems need to be solved. Work Tasks You will work with, among other things: Service and maintenance Diagnostics and troubleshooting Electrical troubleshooting and repair Documentation of completed work Timing belt replacements and major engine work Brake, chassis, and suspension repair Electrical wire and component repair Independently manage complex repair projects Contribute technical and mechanical knowledge within the workshop We Are Looking for Someone Who Thrives in a high-paced environment Holds a B driving license for manual transmission Is organized and solution-oriented Has solid experience as an auto mechanic Has good skills in electrical troubleshooting Can independently diagnose and solve complex car issues Has broad technical and mechanical expertise in passenger cars Has excellent knowledge of troubleshooting and repair Can take responsibility for the entire process from diagnosis to completed repair Above all, we are looking for an experienced problem solver who works methodically and doesn't give up when a fault requires deeper troubleshooting. You identify the root cause, find the right solution, and ensure that the car leaves the workshop properly repaired.
