About the position We are now seeking a senior solutions architect based in Örebro who wants to work with critical public systems that make a real difference. The Business-Close IT Solutions 2 unit is responsible for supporting the agency's core operations within the product areas Vehicle Ownership and Revenue Collection. Depending on needs, other product areas may also become relevant. Our product areas bring together operations and IT around shared responsibility for development, management, and long-term advancement of our solutions. You will work within BSA, the Decision System for Taxes and Fees. BSA is responsible for developing and maintaining IT support used to calculate and make decisions about taxes and fees in the vehicle sector. As a solutions architect, you have a unifying responsibility for the architecture. You are responsible for solution design and technical decisions, and you drive work on modernization and management of technical debt. You work closely with the business and translate business needs into long-term sustainable, secure, and manageable solutions. The role also involves actively supporting development teams on technical matters and contributing to creating a common direction for the continued development of systems. You collaborate closely with product owners, business developers, IT architects, development teams, and other solutions architects. We are looking for someone who wants to work with solutions architecture in a complex and mission-critical operation where quality, security, and long-term sustainability are at the center. You will cohesize and further develop the solutions architecture in the area take responsibility for solutions design and technical decisions translate business needs into sustainable and manageable technical solutions identify, highlight, and contribute to prioritizing technical debt ensure that solutions follow established architectural principles, target architecture, and security requirements actively support development teams on technical and architectural matters contribute to integration solutions and long-term technical direction contribute to a common technical direction within the Vehicle Ownership product area You must have education in IT from university, college, or vocational college, or equivalent experience that we consider equivalent certification in IT architecture, for example DF competency or equivalent current and several years of experience (at least 5 years) working as a solutions architect in Microsoft/.NET and C# several years of experience (at least 5 years) in systems development in Microsoft/.NET and C# experience of having unified responsibility for solutions architecture in complex system environments experience in developing solutions design and anchoring technical decisions experience with APIs, integrations, and message-based integration experience with relational databases and data modeling experience working with critical public systems, security-critical systems, or otherwise mission-critical systems good command of Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you also have experience with solutions architecture in public sector operations experience with Enterprise Architect experience with modernization of legacy systems and management of technical debt experience with systems that support public administration, decision-making, or financial transactions experience in translating business requirements, information needs, and security requirements into technical solutions experience with information modeling and complex information flows experience with security work in the systems development process We want you to be unpretentious and collaboration-oriented build trust and good relationships between business and IT share your knowledge and contribute to the development of others be able to listen to different perspectives and create consensus on complex issues be analytical and see both the big picture and important details be confident in technical decisions and able to explain the consequences of different approaches communicate clearly and adapt your communication to your audience take initiative and drive architectural matters forward together with others Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
