Do you want to work with modern Java development while using AI as a natural part of how we build and develop systems? With us, you'll combine senior systems development with practical work with AI – both in your own development and in customer solutions. We're now looking for a senior full stack developer in Java who wants to build sustainable digital solutions together with us at Accelerate – and at the same time contribute to how AI is used in our deliveries. About the role As a senior full stack developer with us, you're a key person both technically and strategically. You work with modern Java development and are involved in developing how AI is used in real systems. You'll work with customers in different phases of their AI journey – from implementing AI assistants in development work to building more advanced AI-driven solutions in production. In the role, you will, among other things: Develop and maintain microservice-based backend solutions in Java/Spring Boot Build modern frontend solutions with React, Angular or similar Integrate AI into existing systems and business flows Design and implement agent flows and AI-driven processes that work in real systems Work with AI throughout the development lifecycle – from code and testing to operations and improvement Ensure that solutions are built robust, secure and with good traceability according to DevOps principles Work closely with DevOps on CI/CD, containerization and cloud environments Participate in architecture and design decisions and act as a mentor for more junior colleagues You also use AI as a tool in your own development, for example to streamline coding, testing, documentation and troubleshooting with tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and similar. In some assignments you work within established technical frameworks, while in others you get to influence how AI is used in solutions and business flows. An important part of the role is being able to guide customers on how AI can be used and translate technology into concrete solutions and business value. AI tools and technologies We don't work with everything, but have experience with several of the following technologies depending on the assignment: OpenAI / Azure OpenAI Google Gemini / Vertex AI Claude (Anthropic) GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and similar AI assistants You don't need to have experience with everything above, but we'd like to see that you've worked practically with AI in some form, for example through integrations, automation or in your own development process. Who are you? You have at least 8 years of experience as a full stack developer, with deep expertise in Java and modern web technologies. You thrive at the intersection of technology, architecture and business and like to see solutions work in practice. We believe you: Think long-term about code, architecture and maintenance Like building robust solutions that work in production Have an interest in how AI can be used practically in systems development Are unpretentious and like to share knowledge Thrive in customer-facing contexts Have a relevant academic degree in IT, computer science or systems science Communicate fluently in Swedish and English For this position, Swedish citizenship is required. Background check will be conducted on final candidate. Technologies we believe you have experience with: Java, Spring Boot Java EE / Jakarta EE TypeScript / JavaScript React, Angular or similar MySQL, Oracle CI/CD tools Docker & Kubernetes Extra plus: Systems architecture or technical leadership role Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) Experience with AI integrations or LLM-based solutions Test automation and TDD Certifications in Java or cloud Ability to document and explain complex technical solutions Why Accelerate?
