About the position
The National Board of Health and Welfare is leading the work to establish a new social data registry. This assignment is a major government mandate that involves many different parts of the agency. The work is long-term and an important part of the transition to a new social services act. The role involves leading the work to prepare for the development and implementation of the upcoming social data registry, working together with colleagues across the entire agency, municipalities, SKR, private service providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
The work is characterized by multiple actors with different expertise and perspectives, many external target groups, and assignments that require a comprehensive understanding of an area, a shared vision, and methodology from a systems perspective.
Work tasks include planning and monitoring subproject work and deliverables, conducting needs-driven analysis, leading groups and internal resources, coordinating work with other assignments and operations within the agency, collaborating with municipalities and national actors, developing project-related working methods, developing solutions, giving presentations, preparing various types of materials for steering committee meetings and other decision-making forums, and leading work meetings and workshops. You will also manage subproject managers, support subproject managers in their management and change leadership.

We are seeking someone who has
an academic degree in a relevant field for driving complex projects (such as industrial economics, civil engineering, or economics/leadership) or relevant work experience that the employer considers equivalent
several years of experience independently leading and driving complex projects in the workplace
several years of experience developing materials and conducting qualified analyses to improve operations based on needs
very strong ability in leadership, proactivity, holistic thinking, flexibility, and collaboration
very strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and English, which includes giving oral presentations in various contexts
good experience with report writing
It is advantageous if you have
experience leading digitalization work at the national or systems level (involving technical, legal, and operational requirements for multiple actors requiring governance and collaboration)
experience working at the systems level within social services or a government agency
certification or demonstrated approved training in project management (such as PEJL, PRINCE2, PMP, or PPS)
Good to know
The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be based at the office on Västerbroplan in Stockholm (from 2027 in newly renovated premises at Korta gatan 10 in Solna), but have the option to work remotely up to two days per week. Your job title will be E-Health Strategist and your placement will be in the Department of Health and Medical Care and Dentistry at the Systems Level, E-Health and Informatics Unit.
