We are looking for a confident and driven Senior Financial Accountant for a growing company in Gothenburg. Here you will become part of a dedicated team at a great company in an exciting phase.
This is a long-term position starting in September or at the latest in October. You will begin as a consultant through SJR and after six months transition to employment with the client.
About the Position
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a key person in the accounting team, working closely with the Finance Manager and serving as a resource and support for the team. You will ensure high quality throughout the entire accounting process, from ongoing bookkeeping to completed financial statements, and contribute to business development by streamlining processes and workflows.
Your main responsibilities:
• Manage and drive ongoing accounting operations
• Prepare reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement documentation
• Coordinate and quality assure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Report to the Finance Manager and contribute to financial monitoring
• Prepare materials for annual reports and tax returns
• Handle complex accounting matters related to VAT, international trade, and inventory flows
Desired Background
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in advanced accounting work and who has independently managed monthly and annual financial statements. You have post-secondary education in accounting and feel confident navigating the entire accounting process. You are professional in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have experience from a transaction-intensive business and have worked with international trade, EU VAT, and inventory-related accounting flows. If you also have experience from a growth company, we consider that a significant plus.
