Victory Current is seeking a senior power systems engineer for an extended consulting assignment with an international player in the energy and power industry. You will be employed by Victory Current and work on technically advanced projects in an international environment.
Victory Current is a company based in Västerås that provides technical consulting services in electrical engineering and electrical design.
The role suits you if you have solid experience with high and medium voltage substations as well as control systems and protective relays.
About the Position
As a senior power systems engineer, you are responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating qualified work within secondary design, control systems, and protective relays. You work independently, lead other engineers when needed, and serve as technical support to the project organization, customers, and suppliers.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with, among others, project managers and specialists in primary design, civil engineering, quality assurance, procurement, testing, and commissioning.
Your main tasks include:
Develop and review technical documentation for high and medium voltage substations
Work with single-line diagrams, protective relay and interlocking schemes, and AC and DC drawings
Conduct technical calculations and develop drawing documentation for control and protective relay cabinets
Work with IED configurations, cabling, connection diagrams, and material lists
Evaluate supplier proposals and ensure that equipment and services meet the technical requirements of projects
Provide technical support before and during pre-FAT and FAT
Support installation, testing, and commissioning work
Develop project documentation within your area of responsibility
Lead and coordinate complex technical activities within one or several technical areas
Contribute to improved work methods, efficient deliveries, and high customer satisfaction
We are Looking for Someone Who Has
A degree in electrical engineering (university or master's level)
At least six years of relevant work experience, including experience with technical leadership or coordination
Experience with design work related to high and medium voltage substations
Strong knowledge of control systems and protective relays
Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Interest in and ability to work on international projects
Ability to independently plan and execute complex technical tasks
You may also be a suitable candidate if you have another relevant technical education combined with more than 15 years of experience in the field.
