You're involved throughout the entire process – from early workshops and technical decisions to development, delivery, and continuous improvement. Causality Agency's primary tech stack consists of PHP, Laravel, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and AWS. Your focus is mainly on backend and integrations, but you work closely with the entire technical solution and collaborate with other developers, UX designers, and project managers. Projects vary in both size and nature. This could involve building a new service from scratch, further developing an established platform, creating integrations, or addressing performance and operational issues. The role also includes client contact, where you work with project managers to discuss needs, propose technical solutions, and develop realistic estimates. Your Main Responsibilities Build and further develop web applications, APIs, and digital services Make technical decisions and contribute to solution architecture Meet with clients alongside project managers to understand needs, propose solutions, and develop estimates Work on everything from smaller features to larger and more long-term deliveries Diagnose and resolve issues related to operations, integrations, and performance Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities At least 5 years of professional web development experience Very strong experience in backend development with PHP, including work with frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony, as well as relational databases Experience with modern web frameworks and building structured, sustainably maintainable applications Solid understanding of JavaScript and modern frontend development Experience with system integrations and designing and working with APIs Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious if you have • Experience with TypeScript and React or similar frontend frameworks • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms • Experience with applied AI, for example LLM APIs or vector databases in web applications • Previous technical responsibility or project leadership You have a strong interest in technology and enjoy understanding both the problem and the business behind what you build. You take responsibility for your solutions, are confident in technical discussions, and appreciate client contact.
