We've created an auction service where you'll find plenty of new items to bid on daily, and the company is constantly growing. In 2025, we had over 160,000 auctions and reached an auction turnover of 4.7 billion and the forecast points to continued strong growth. Klaravik is part of a strong Nordic group with several successful growth brands. What your job will be As a Senior Backend Developer, you will: Build, further develop, and maintain backend applications in PHP with Symfony as the primary framework. Take responsibility for architecture, code quality, testing, and best practices together with other senior developers. Design and optimize databases and develop efficient and scalable SQL solutions. Work closely with product owners, designers, and QA in a squad that drives the product forward together. Take ownership of technical initiatives and drive them from idea to implementation, while identifying opportunities for improvement in technology, processes, and ways of working. Contribute to the platform's performance, stability, and scalability through continuous improvements and a long-term technical perspective. Be a technical role model who creates direction and momentum in the squad through technical coaching, feedback, mentoring, and active knowledge sharing. Use AI-based tools as a natural part of the development process to streamline development, analysis, testing, and quality work. We believe you have At least 5 years of experience in backend development in PHP. Very good knowledge of Symfony or similar PHP frameworks. Strong understanding of SQL, database design, and backend architecture. Experience with agile working methods in squads. The ability to take technical responsibility and drive work independently. Experience leading technical initiatives or taking an informal leadership role in development teams. Experience coaching or mentoring other developers. The ability to communicate technical reasoning and decisions clearly and engagingly and create engagement through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical coaching. You need to be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as we work closely with colleagues and users in our daily operations. It's a merit if you also have Experience with other PHP frameworks (Laravel, Laminas, etc.). Background in auction systems, e-commerce, or other complex transaction environments. Knowledge of Azure, cloud-based development, or container technologies. Experience with CI/CD, test automation, or DevOps practices. Interest in event-driven architecture or microservices.
