Senior AI Engineer

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer who wants to implement AI- and agent-based workflows in a modern SaaS platform. At Senseworks, you will build AI-driven features used in a large portion of Sweden's real-world audit engagements where accuracy, traceability, and trust are essential components. As an AI Engineer, you will play a key role in revolutionizing how auditors work with auditing in the future. By turning AI and machine learning into stable and usable products, you create societal value by enabling auditors to conduct audits more easily, faster, more enjoyably, and with higher quality. About the Role You will become part of our AI team and work holistically with architecture, development, deployment, and further development of AI and agent solutions across the entire software stack. The focus is on building robust, scalable, and production-ready systems that create real value for our users. Senseworks' product model means you work in a modern, customer-centric way on product development in a cross-functional team together with developers, designers, and auditors. You will be involved throughout the entire journey from identifying and formulating problems together with users and the product team to launching and maintaining AI-driven features in production. Examples of What You May Work On Design and implement LLM-driven features that support auditors in analyzing, assessing, and documenting audit work Develop data and agent pipelines Work with agent-based solutions and ensure they are traceable, testable, and reliable Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to create user-friendly and trustworthy AI features that solve real problems About You We believe you are an experienced developer with a strong understanding of software development and are accustomed to taking responsibility for the entire lifecycle of AI-based features, from design and implementation to operations. You are used to working production-focused and driven by building solutions that work stably in reality, not just in theory. You have deployed AI- or agent-based systems in production and know what happens after launch, can balance performance against requirements for stability, transparency, and maintenance costs. You see AI as one of many tools for delivering value to customers. Since the team works across the entire stack, we consider it an advantage if you also have experience in related areas such as backend, frontend, and databases. Ideally, you are based in Umeå and the surrounding area so we can meet up frequently. We would like to see that you have: Experience developing AI agents and LLM-based systems Experience deploying AI systems to production and operating them Strong expertise in software development and system design Experience with cloud-based environments and containerized systems Understanding of databases and data modeling Additional merits include solid software development experience and knowledge of backend, databases, or data pipelines.
