As a summer substitute in elderly care in Berg Municipality, you will be an important piece of the puzzle in the work of supporting and serving our elderly citizens. Working as a substitute is a very important role for our operations to run 24/7, every day of the year. Together with your colleagues, you will get meaningful work with high flexibility, and there is the opportunity to combine work at nursing homes with home care or local services. We offer a summer bonus for those who work at least 75% for at least 8 weeks. Job Responsibilities As a substitute worker in elderly care in Berg, you will be employed at the respective unit. The work as a substitute includes care and social support based on a salutogenic approach. This means you help people who live in our special housing or live at home in their own homes. For example: dressing, preparing meals, serving, hygiene and cleaning. Tasks delegated by licensed healthcare personnel may also be relevant, for example administering medication. Collaboration is a very important part of your work, as you share joint responsibility with many other colleagues for the services that each person has been granted. Qualifications and Personal Qualities There is a need for substitutes at several of our units and we therefore welcome you whether or not you have previous education or experience in care and health services. If you are a nursing assistant or have previous experience as a care aide, we see that as positive but not necessary! What is most important to us is you as a person, especially that you are efficient and professional in your approach, and that you are good at communicating and have an easy time collaborating. To be eligible as a substitute in care and health services, you must be at least 18 years old and be able to express yourself and understand Swedish well in speech and writing. The ability to work some shifts in the evenings and on weekends is a requirement. We consider it an asset if you have education and/or previous experience in elderly care. Berg Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality and we therefore consider it an asset if you have knowledge of South Sami language and culture. Recruitment Process We use an electronic substitute recruitment system, Time Pool, which means you must have internet access for us to be able to offer you work. You are responsible for entering the times you can work and responding to inquiries as soon as possible. Being a substitute can mean that the need for work can change quickly. We will review your application and get back to you as soon as possible. If we find your application interesting, you will be contacted by us to schedule an interview. The interview may be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams. Otherwise, feedback will be given by email. We Offer Varied and flexible work with either hourly contracts and monthly contracts where you get to make a difference for others - every day! If you are employed on a monthly basis and have worked at least 75% for at least 8 weeks during the holiday period, you will also receive a summer bonus of SEK 10,000 (before tax), provided that these criteria are met. The work is available both during daytime and nighttime, and you can work either day and evening shifts or night shifts. Selection may take place continuously during the advertising period, so do not wait too long to submit your application. Berg Municipality applies HÖK/AB (general terms and conditions) to this position. We apply individual salary setting. For this position, the current starting salary range is SEK 23,638 – 30,590 per month, depending on your previous experience and skills.
