JOB DUTIES
The job duties involve supporting the individual in everyday life with, for example, leisure activities, social contacts, cleaning, cooking, and personal care.
Since we base our approach on the individual's needs, the work tasks can range from supporting individuals to perform parts or all work tasks themselves to you as staff practically performing parts of or all work tasks.
The need for care differs between group homes and service apartments.
As a personal assistant, you support an individual in their home. We offer you, who are new, an introduction where you can work alongside experienced colleagues to become comfortable in the role.
You will work in a rewarding and stimulating work environment, where the focus is to help the individual with varying tasks based on their needs.
The work is scheduled and includes daytime, evenings, weekends, and possibly on-call or night work. We aim to offer you a schedule based on your wishes and how much you want to work. For those who want to work during the spring, temporary employment opportunities will be available. There will also be a chance for you to continue working as a substitute after summer.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are 18 years old and interested in working with people. It is desirable that you are trained in a people-care profession or have begun such training, for example, nursing assistant, caregiver, or childcare worker.
Experience working in operations for people with intellectual, physical, or mental disabilities is an asset. As a person, we want you to put the individual in focus and have an easy time collaborating. You must be fluent in Swedish in a way that allows you to communicate with residents, family members, and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. We would like you to have a Category B driving license for manual transmission, as most of our operations require this.
If you become relevant for employment, you will need to provide an extract from the criminal record register: "Extract for work with children with disabilities".
A driving license is very desirable.
