About the Operations
AnOpIVA SU/Mölndal comprises four surgical units with a total of 20 operating rooms. Our anesthesia patients range in age from 1 year to over 100 years old. Many of the children and young people who receive anesthesia have neuropsychiatric conditions, and among older patients, comorbidities are common. This provides a broad range of anesthesiological challenges in daily work.
The intensive care unit has six beds and provides advanced intensive care. Operations are characterized by strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and continuous development. Adjacent to the ICU/Post-op unit is a well-developed pain management unit with active education and training activities.
The clinic has an established research environment with a well-developed structure for collaboration between active employees in several professional categories. Research and development projects exist locally, nationally, and internationally. The clinic has both a Research & Development responsible physician and coordinator.
Our physician group consists of more than 40 doctors. We have good morale in the group and take great responsibility for our patients and operations. We support each other and share responsibility for primary and on-call duties. There is a well-developed structure for conditions and communication both within leadership and at the clinic.
We are now seeking a section chief for the Anesthesia/Surgery/Intensive Care operations area at Mölndal Hospital. Are you interested in taking on personnel responsibility for the physician group and influencing and developing our operations forward, while also working clinically with primary interest/responsibility in intensive care? Then this position might be for you!
What Does the Job as Section Chief Involve?
As one of two section chiefs, you will work in close collaboration with your fellow section chief. Together, you have overall responsibility for personnel, budget, and work environment for the physician group. You have direct personnel responsibility for approximately half of the physician group each, which includes responsibility for development conversations, salary discussions, rehabilitation matters, and more.
An important part of your work is also to develop the unit and entire operations forward. To succeed, you work closely with the nursing unit managers within the operations and provide important support to our nursing medical directors. You also participate in AnOpIVA's management group. Your direct supervisor is the Operations Manager of AnOpIVA Mölndal. The position includes clinical work. Administrative time is allocated to give you space for your management responsibilities.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in anesthesia and intensive care.
We would appreciate if you have leadership experience.
An academic background such as a master's degree or doctoral education, as well as a dissertation, is desirable for the position.
You have a strong interest in leading and developing a unit and operations forward, and have the ability to turn words into action and achieve set goals.
It is desirable to have an interest in and expertise in intensive care matters, as you, together with the nursing medical director, will be a driving force in developing intensive care forward at SU/Mölndal.
Since you will work closely with your management colleague, we see that it is important that you enjoy collaborating and are unpretentious. In your role, you will have many contact points both within the unit, operations, and toward other departments. To succeed in the role, we therefore see that you communicate clearly and openly, welcome others' perspectives and good ideas, and are able to create team spirit around shared challenges.
The position involves a 5-year management appointment with a permanent position as a specialist or senior physician.
