Responsibilities At road traffic management in Malmö, we are responsible for traffic information, traffic control, and incident management on the national road network. As a section chief, you are a first-line manager with personnel, operations, and budget responsibility. You are responsible for leading, planning, and following up on the section's work to ensure it is conducted efficiently, safely, and with high quality according to operational goals. You report to the unit manager and participate in a management team together with your fellow section chief colleagues at the unit. You will manage approximately 17-18 employees based in Malmö. This role demands high standards of customer and results-oriented work, as the operation impacts many people's daily lives. In consultation with the unit manager and other sections, you will lead, direct, and develop the section's 24/7 operations. Work-related travel occurs as we operate within a national organization. We are looking for someone who has: Current and relevant professional experience from a management role with personnel, operations, and budget responsibility A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in a field relevant to the position. Alternatively, you have another qualification combined with professional experience that we consider equivalent Professional experience in driving change and development projects It is advantageous if you have: Professional experience leading shift-based employees in an environment where workload varies throughout the day and year, with challenges related to work environment, staffing, and load variations Additional Information Employment at the Swedish Transport Administration is permanent, but the management assignment is time-limited, initially for 4 years. The position is classified as requiring security clearance. For employment, a passed security vetting is required, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
