About the role and your responsibilities as a manager In your role as Section Manager for Timber and By-products, you work closely with other managers and group leaders from the logistics department and other departments. Together, you are three section managers who share responsibility for all internal logistics at the sawmill. The role includes responsibility for safety and working environment matters, and you also have facility responsibility for timber sorting. You are close to operations, close to people, and close to everyday challenges. Logistics for us is not just about moving timber and wood from A to B, but about making the entire value chain work together in a smart, safe, and cost-effective way. Personal responsibility for your logistics team with ongoing support, feedback, and development conversations Ensure that competence, staffing, and onboarding function properly Work closely with other managers and functions at the sawmill and within the group Plan and prioritize resources, staffing, and machinery Be a role model in safety, sustainability, and the company's values Create participation and engagement through clear goals and follow-up Ensure quality, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness Follow up on key metrics and drive improvement work through LEAN in processes and working methods Contact with external stakeholders such as Holmen Forest and Biometria Be a representative in various collaboration forums and development projects Anchor and implement changes in a responsive and inclusive manner Who we believe you are We believe you are a leader who thrives where things actually happen – out in operations, close to the team, close to the flows, and where decisions have clear impact in daily work.
