About the Job As a section chief, you have operational, personnel, budget, and workplace environment responsibility for your section. You are a member of the unit's management team and together with your colleagues take responsibility for leading and developing the unit. You collaborate within and outside the authority to achieve results and create value for our customers. In your role as section chief for an enforcement operations section, you will lead approximately 15-20 employees, consisting of crown inspectors, case handlers, and process servers. The operations are hands-on and the assignment places high demands on legal certainty, quality, and good customer service. You lead employees in daily work and create good conditions for the section. The placement location is Gothenburg. There are also two other sections with similar assignments in the area, which provides opportunities for collaboration, experience sharing, and joint development. You are expected to provide close leadership even when you and your employees work in different locations. Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to work against crime. Your employees' work tasks include identifying and preventing attempted criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. About You As a manager at the Enforcement Authority, you are expected to meet our leadership criteria and employee policy. You exercise close leadership that creates conditions for active employee engagement. You have the ability to lead through change and develop operations through continuous improvements. Your analytical ability means you can handle a high degree of complexity in your work and understand how different parts of the organization affect each other. You are expected to make decisions, take action, and lead even when answers are not clear, choices are not obvious, and methods are not self-evident. As a manager, you show great trust in your employees' abilities, although you are ultimately responsible for results and quality. You communicate in a way that creates participation and engagement and have the ability to collaborate and promote a good work environment. Being a manager and leader means both that you challenge and that you yourself can be challenged regarding mindset and methods. Your Qualifications: - University education with at least 180 credits (120 points according to the previous system) in an area that the employer considers relevant, or equivalent work experience - Several years of current and relevant work experience - Good communication skills, both verbal and written It is desirable that you have current and relevant management experience with operational and personnel responsibility. It is also desirable that you have experience from public sector operations, public administration, or similar activities. Good to Know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case handler and receive a management assignment for four years. If you are already employed at the Enforcement Authority, you remain in your base position during the assignment period. Travel is part of the job. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. Working in the state means following the state's core values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security mindfulness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during interviews about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also posed to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with background check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
