We are now seeking a Section Manager for the Process Lab in Skärblacka, Norrköping.
The Process Laboratory in Skärblacka is a vital part of the mill's operations and works closely with pulp and paper production to contribute to stable, efficient, and sustainable operations. Here, advanced chemical analysis is combined with a clear operational focus, where the laboratory is responsible for controlling emissions to air and water as well as monitoring process media and the manufactured pulp. Through this work, we ensure that production can be managed and developed in line with both internal goals and external requirements. The laboratory is accredited in chemical water analysis, which means that the work is conducted with high accuracy, traceability, and quality at every step.
As section manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, results, and personnel, and you lead and develop the laboratory's work together with your team consisting of a laboratory engineer, laboratory technician, and process laboratory technicians. You have a key role in strengthening the connection between analysis, production, and development, as well as in driving improvements and efficiencies in working methods and processes.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
• Lead, plan, and monitor the work of the Process Laboratory.
• Have personnel responsibility, including development, work environment, and competence management.
• Develop the operations based on the mill's needs and set goals.
• Ensure quality assurance and accreditation according to ISO 17025.
• Drive improvement and efficiency initiatives in working methods.
• Participate in environmental and process development projects.
• Lead the work of the mill's chemical group.

Qualifications
To succeed in the role of Section Manager Process Lab, you have:
• University education in chemistry, natural sciences, or engineering. Alternatively, experience that Billerud deems equivalent.
• Documented work experience from an accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025.
• Leadership experience.
It is strongly advantageous if you:
• Have experience from the process industry or the pulp and paper industry.
• Experience with internal audits according to ISO 17025.
