About the Job
As a section chief in the legal unit at the Claims and Payments Department, you create the conditions for active employee engagement through hands-on leadership. You hold operational, personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for your section. As a member of the unit's management group, you share responsibility for leading and developing the unit together with your management colleagues. You collaborate within and outside the agency to achieve results and create value for our customers.
As section chief, you will lead approximately 14 employees, consisting of both lawyers and administrative case officers. This is a newly established section that will be part of the legal unit within the Claims and Payments Department. Your staff are located at multiple sites, which means you will be leading partially remotely. You are therefore expected to exercise hands-on leadership even when you and your team work in different locations. You report to the unit chief based in Sundbyberg and are expected to work closely with the unit chief and the other section chief to achieve operational goals and mandate.
The position is based in Uddevalla or Visby.
Everyone working at Kronofogden contributes to the work against crime. Your employees' duties include identifying and preventing attempted criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes.

Your Qualifications:
Law degree with 270 credits (180 credits under the old system).
Current and relevant work experience with summary proceedings or the Enforcement Code at Kronofogden.
It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in a leadership or coordination role.

Good to Know
The position is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be hired as a case officer and receive a management assignment for four years. If you are already employed at Kronofogden, you will remain in your base position during the assignment period. Travel is part of the job. Kronofogden offers the opportunity to work remotely by agreement with the employer.
Working in the public sector means you follow the public sector's core values. There are also special requirements regarding judgment, security mindset, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during interviews about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked of references. We also obtain information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information gathered will be weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with records check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. Some of our work tasks in the security classification require Swedish citizenship.
