About the job
As a section chief in the legal unit at the Claims and Payments Department, you create conditions for active employee engagement through close leadership. You have operational, personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for your section. As a member of the unit's management team, you share responsibility for leading and developing the unit together with your leadership colleagues. You collaborate within and outside the agency to achieve results and create value for our customers.
As section chief, you will lead approximately 14 employees, consisting of both lawyers and administrative case handlers. This is a new section that will be part of the legal unit within the Claims and Payments Department. Employees are located at several locations, which means you will lead partly remotely. You are therefore expected to be able to exercise close leadership even when you and your employees work in different places. You report to the unit chief located in Sundbyberg, and you are expected to work closely with the unit chief and the other section chief to achieve the unit's goals and mission.
The position is located in Uddevalla or Visby.
Everyone who works at Kronofogden contributes to combating crime. Your employees' work tasks include identifying and preventing attempted criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes.

Your qualifications:
Degree from the law program with 270 credits (180 credits according to the old system).
Current and relevant work experience with summary proceedings or the Debt Enforcement Act at Kronofogden.
It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience from a leading or coordinating assignment.

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case handler and receive a four-year management assignment. If you are already employed at Kronofogden, you remain in your base position during the assignment period. Travel in the job occurs. Kronofogden offers the opportunity to work remotely by agreement with the employer.
Working in government means you follow the national value base. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions at the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to reference persons. We also obtain information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business bans. Any information obtained is considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with registry check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. Some of our work tasks in security classification require Swedish citizenship.
