About the position The Swedish Transport Agency's IT Department is growing! The number of employees in the department has increased and will continue to grow in the coming years. We are looking for you to help us create the IT department of the future together with us! As a Section Head, you will be a central part of the team where, in close collaboration with engaged and supportive colleagues, you continue to build a modern and efficient IT organization. An important guiding principle in the mission is to lead through change and create good collaboration with others throughout the agency. Together with other Section Heads and the Unit Manager, you will be part of the unit's management group. You will also work closely with the business units we support and other managers within the department. You will have personnel responsibility for approximately 15-20 employees and, as needed, also responsibility for a number of consultants. The sections within the IT department work in agile teams, and employees are currently primarily located in Örebro. Within the sections are employees with system development expertise including system developers, IT architects, testers, requirements analysts, IT delivery managers, and scrum masters. Together, we will continue working to meet the future – and we are looking for you to be part of it! Your leadership As a manager, you are responsible for the operations within your section. You lead and create good conditions for employees in their work and represent the employer. As a manager at the Swedish Transport Agency, you actively participate in management group work where you should contribute to developing both your own operations and the Swedish Transport Agency in a positive way within the framework of our mission focused on citizens and business. You will work with management and governance tasks, both short and long term lead and develop employees and teams participate in or drive business development work within IT, both within your own section and within the department work with planning and follow-up within the operational areas you are responsible for work with competence provision, including recruitment and consultant requisitions be responsible for budget and financial follow-up. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. Remote work is possible based on operational needs, up to 3 days per week. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security vetting with record review according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted.
