About the assignment
BAE Systems Bofors develops, produces and delivers advanced defense systems and is in an expansive phase. The development department has grown steadily in recent years – and forecasts show continued growth.
As part of this journey, the organization within the Systems unit (KES) is now being developed, with a focus on creating the right conditions for both business and people to grow sustainably over time.

Your role
As section head for testing, you are responsible for leading and developing your section within the testing area. You drive the work forward through your team and ensure that the operation meets the requirements set by projects and customers.
A large part of the operation is conducted in project form, where testing is a central part of ensuring function, quality and delivery. In your role, you are responsible for planning, prioritizing and allocating the right resources to projects – often in critical phases with a focus on functional controls before delivery (Pre-FAT and FAT).
You collaborate closely with other section heads, project managers and the management group within the unit, and contribute to the whole while having clear responsibility for your own team.
Your team will need to be built from the ground up and you work together with two other section heads for testing. This means that recruitment and competence development will be an important part of your assignment.
You will, among other things:
Lead and develop the operation within your section
Allocate and prioritize resources to projects
Drive recruitment and develop the team as you grow
Ensure planning and implementation of testing activities
Take responsibility for work environment, resource planning and competence development
Ensure quality in test methods, working methods and deliveries
Contribute to the development of working methods and processes within the framework of the operation
Collaborate with other managers, project managers and management

Your profile
We are looking for you who wants to take an active role in developing both people and operations.
You have:
Technical post-secondary education or equivalent experience that we deem equivalent
Experience in testing, verification, testing or similar areas
Leadership experience, for example as a manager or project manager
Experience of working in project-intensive environments
Understanding of quality assurance, test processes and delivery flows
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
