We are now seeking a Section Manager for IT-Service Team North, based at the regional office in Örebro. Job Description As Section Manager for IT-Service Team North, you will have overall responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. You will lead a section of approximately 50 employees through three group managers and report to the department manager. You will participate in the department's management group where you collectively are responsible for the operations' development, delivery, and long-term direction. You will lead through group managers and actively work to develop leadership, competence, and working methods. You will drive change initiatives, create structure and clarity, and ensure that the section delivers with high quality and efficiency. Your assignment includes, among other things: - Creating conditions to increase operational productivity and efficiency and contribute to the vision Better Out - Ensuring business-focused delivery of IT services and user support with high quality - Developing the section's working methods, competence, and delivery capabilities - Driving change and development initiatives within your area of responsibility and together with other parts of the IT department - Being responsible for the section's personnel, operations, and budget Remote work is offered for a limited portion of the work time; flexible working time is applied. We are seeking someone who has: - Academic education, preferably in systems science, a higher education diploma, or civil engineer degree, or alternatively other education in combination with experience that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant - Documented leadership training - Several years of experience in management roles with personnel, operations, and budget responsibility - Several years of experience leading through other managers - Experience working in larger organizations with many stakeholders and complex dependencies - Experience leading operations through change, development, and growth - Experience developing working methods, processes, and organization to create increased quality and efficiency - Good knowledge of operational management and change management - Strong ability to translate goals and strategies into concrete activities and results - Very good ability in speaking and writing Swedish and good ability in speaking and writing English It is also meritorious to have: - Education in change management, operational development, or project management - Education in IT Service Management, ITIL, or equivalent framework - Experience in IT service, IT support, or other business-oriented IT operations - Experience leading operations with responsibility for service or service delivery - Experience from public sector operations or other politically governed organization - Experience leading geographically distributed staff - Experience with change work in a growing organization - Knowledge of project and portfolio management - Knowledge of administrative management in larger organizations Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
