About the job
As a section manager, you create conditions for active employee engagement through close leadership. You hold operational, personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for your section. As a member of the unit's management team, you share responsibility for leading and developing the unit together with your management colleagues. You collaborate within and outside the agency to achieve results and create value for our customers.
As section manager for registration in Halmstad, you will lead approximately 25 employees. The registration section's primary task is to receive and review applications for enforcement. When necessary, you request supplementary information and documents or make decisions on rejection and denial. It's important that incoming cases are registered and handled promptly within the Registration section. All employees on the section work in Halmstad and typically on-site at the office, although some remote work is possible. We want you as a manager to practice close leadership.
The work location for this position is in Halmstad. You report to the unit manager, whose office is in Gävle.
Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to work against crime. Your employees' work tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes.
About you
As a manager at the Enforcement Authority, you're expected to meet our leadership criteria and employee policy. You practice close leadership that enables active employee engagement. You have the ability to lead through change and develop operations through continuous improvements. Your analytical skills mean you can handle a high degree of complexity in your work and understand how different parts of operations affect each other. As a manager, you show great confidence in your employees' abilities while ultimately remaining responsible for results and quality. You communicate in ways that create participation and engagement, and you have the ability to collaborate and promote a good work environment. Your qualifications:
- University degree with at least 180 credits (120 points under the old system) in administration, economics, or law
- Several years of current and relevant management experience
It's also desirable that you have current management experience within a government agency.

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case officer and receive a management appointment for four years. If you're already employed at the Enforcement Authority, you remain in your base position during the appointment period. Travel for work occurs. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer.
Working in government means you follow government core values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions at interview about any previous criminal activity and deficiencies in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business bans. Any information obtained is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security vetting with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision. For some of our work tasks in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
