The Cardiac Care Unit is part of the Cardiac Department at Östersund Hospital where you will be part of a stimulating community and become an important part of the operations. The cardiac department includes a cardiac outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, and a coronary catheterization laboratory (PCI-lab). We work in teams across the entire department and encourage professional development through both internal and external training.
The Cardiac Care Unit, which operates during daytime hours, handles approximately 8,000 patient visits annually. Patients come here for follow-up visits after heart attacks, evaluation of heart failure and arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions. As a medical secretary, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists.

JOB DUTIES
You will be one of our three medical secretaries in the cardiac department. Together, you will be responsible for the administrative workflow and work closely with other professional groups in the operation. The work is varied, and you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for different functional tasks based on the department's needs and your competencies.
Your main responsibilities include:
· Medical documentation in the COSMIC journal system
· Referral management
· Management of waiting lists
· Patient classification and DRG coding
· Invoice and cash register processing
· Administrative support to physicians and other professionals
· Participation in improvement and development work

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone trained as a medical secretary, healthcare administrator, or equivalent. You are thorough, organized, and service-oriented and enjoy having many points of contact. You collaborate well while also being able to take independent responsibility and prioritize your tasks independently.
Experience in the profession and knowledge of COSMIC and DRG are merits. We place great importance on personal suitability.
