The central IT department is responsible for managing, operating, and further developing the digital platforms, business systems, and infrastructure solutions that keep the entire operation running. Through stable operations, high information security, and continuous technical improvement efforts, we ensure a robust IT environment that supports everything from the daily needs of stores and logistics chains to sales functions, customer-facing systems, financial processes, sustainability work, analytics platforms, and other central business areas.
The IT department works closely with the business to deliver scalable, modern solutions that drive digitalization throughout the organization while improving efficiency and creating conditions for an even stronger and more seamless customer experience. The IT department is also part of Saint-Gobain Distribution Nordic, and some assignments may span across borders.
Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, you will work with security, compliance, and information management at the intersection of technology, operations, and group requirements. You have a coordinating function where you support the organization with new solutions, applications, and projects.
The work is broad and involves handling security-related issues, following up on incidents, training users, preparing decision-making materials, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. You become an important point of contact between the group's security requirements and local implementation, helping the business understand, prioritize, and put guidelines into practice.
You work closely with the CTO - Head of Infrastructure & IT Security and become a central part of maintaining information flows, project tracks, and security tasks while helping develop working methods and strengthen the organization's security maturity.
Examples of responsibilities:
• Conduct security assessments and audits, and identify vulnerabilities and risks
• Monitor and follow up on security incidents and coordinate actions with relevant parties
• Develop, update, and ensure quality of security policies, standards, and processes
• Train internal users and IT personnel in security awareness
• Support projects in implementing new systems and ensure requirements are met
• Evaluate new security technologies and solutions to strengthen the company's security level
• Collaborate with external vendors and security organizations
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
• Post-secondary education in computer science, IT, or related field
• Work experience in information security, IT security, or similar area
• Experience with coordinating or project management work
• Advantageous: Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or other security frameworks
• Advantageous: Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, firewalls, encryption, or penetration testing
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
