Systems and Security Technician (Application Specialist / System Administrator) At CBRE, we continue to digitalize our security infrastructure and are now seeking a Systems and Security Technician for our operations in Kista and Sweden. You will become a key person in the team responsible for operations, software maintenance, system integration, and technical support of our integrated security platforms. Then this is the right challenge for you. About the Role In this role, you combine deep system understanding with technical coordination and application operations. You function as Technical Application Security Owner and first-line technical expert support (Tier 2/3 triage). You troubleshoot complex software errors, analyze system logs, and escalate system technical issues as needed. You work closely with the IT department, internal system users, and external software vendors. Your focus is to ensure high availability, stable API integration, and optimal performance in our software environment. Key Responsibilities Systems Operations & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software errors, database synchronization failures, and network issues in security systems. Application Administration: Configure system settings, manage user databases, access matrices, and security policies. Vendor Coordination: Package technical error reports (logs, error codes, environmental data) and drive software-related bug and development issues with external system vendors. Software Architecture & Standardization: Standardize system support, consolidate data sources, and drive the technical development of the platforms forward. Improvement Work: Identify recurring software-related bottlenecks, implement proactive system improvements, and document system configurations and operations manuals. System Environment and Platforms You will primarily manage and develop the following types of IP-based systems: Integrated security platforms (SMS/PSIM) and supervisory control systems Access control and digital visitor systems (including database management and AD integrations) VMS (Video Management Systems) and network-based camera systems (CCTV) IP-based intrusion and alarm systems Professional Development Operational phase: Independent responsibility for incident management, system configurations, and technical release management. Strategic phase: Full technical system responsibility, capacity planning, and architectural development of the platforms. We are Looking for Someone Who Has A deep technical interest with focus on software, logical troubleshooting, and system logic. Good understanding of IT infrastructure, IP networks (TCP/IP, routing, switches), and Windows server environments. Ability to communicate fluently at a technical level with developers and network technicians, as well as pedagogically with end users. A structured, data-driven, and methodical approach to incident management. Qualifications Post-secondary education (YH/University) in IT, Systems Science, Network Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent documented experience. Experience in technical support (Level 2), system administration, application operations, or similar IT-related role is strongly meriting. Experience with database management (e.g., SQL), identity management (Active Directory/IAM), or integrations (API/webhooks) is seen as a major plus. We request extracts from personal data as referred to in Article 10 of the Data Protection Regulation (personal data regarding criminal offenses) in connection with vetting of individuals prior to entering into employment agreements. Since some of our customers conduct sensitive operations, the position requires approved Security Vetting according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) and approved security vetting prior to an offer of permanent employment.
